Media homo-phobia is getting so old.
take a look at this commercial. It clearly exaggerates the "male expectation" while completely bashing homosexuals or metro-sexuals, its insulting and homo-phobic. Its crazy to think that people still think like this.
Strict Bans in France Immediately Effective
This is quite interesting:
I was reading an article this morning about the new laws that the French government recently put into effect. Apparently, the French has become very strict on muslims or rather anyone covering their face with a veil, regardless its significance. Because of their obvious disdain with the cultural practice, they have enforced a ban that will give the French government the rights to fine any tourist or citizen $215 for covering their face with a veil in public and anyone that forces a woman to wear a veil in public will face up to A YEAR in prison and receive a $43,000 fine. This ban has already taken immediate effect in classrooms were muslims student are absolutely prohibited from wearing scarves. This article was absolutely mind blowing to me because these strict bans are far from enforced in the US. Its just unbelievable to me that a country would practically disregard a cultural practice to satisfy their own intent.

Miscarriage cause double sided deaths...........?

Apparently, a senator in Georgia wants to make womens lives that much harder and set us all back past the stone age.....According to his proposal "we can be sentenced to death or life in prison if they can prove there was "no human involvment". more details here

so i figured since i went post happy, i'd give thew world a break buuuut now i am back with so much more information.....ugh...where do i begin...
so i actually just saw this clip today which i found it slightly interesting that this is a fact. China has been beating america for forever now. We've all found ourselves aching to be let into the chinese study session but they never ask anyone outside of their circle to come study....smh....but anyway heres one of my fav satirical talk show hosts......
"Thats impossible! We invented english!!"
oh and this i also found to be quite disturbing....... what school board would actually back this behavior???

so theres debate over who the greatest rapper is and also quite popular, how he is supposed to be. With overnight sensations like drake and nicki minaj making it into the spotlight and generating so much attention and fanfare i believe it is time to start implementing some rules:
1.- no degrading of women!- this rule applies to men women and children. How can we teach our women to respect themselves when rappers refer to them as something else all the time.
2.- remember who your audience is- everyone has a target audience but no one seems to remember that although you wanna appeal to one group of people you may subsequently appeal to all. Therefore, we must hold you responsible for your actions to make sure everyone else is on the same page.
3.- diversify thought- there is no reason to always glorify your material possessions or how much money you have nor what you plan to do with the ak47 you have in ya care, house, and other places of leisure.Especially, when you have many issues like what is going on in Egypt and Tunisia, that are far more important, and of educational value to our youth.
there should be more rules here but i really wanna get to the video....
so i came across these two young girls who have written an open letter to lil wayne about his actions toward women and behavior in the general public. i really thought the video was cute, cool, and pretty accurate...Open Letter To Lil Wayne

Super Booty
It has come to my attention that the "behind" that was once behind me is now at the forefront of a massive debate; Is the Super Booty Classy?
Today i watched the new Trey Songs video and usually he has some Nicki minaj like chick as his leading lady. However, in this particular video he had a "model" like chick as his "main entree".
(FYI- there is a huge difference between and model and a video girl. Models typically look alike and can appeal commercially, editorially, and sexually. Whereas a video model as a strong presentation of sexual desire to her and she has a very pretty face and for the last 5 year a super big butt!!*Thank Buffy*)
As i watched the 3 min porno..whoops!!! I mean video, i notice that Trey was going for a more serious and classy approach. First noticing the type of car he used, the fact that the video was shot in black and white and antique lighting, his dialogue in the film along with the profession of the subject of his desire. It, at some point occurred to me that there may be a reason why he doesnt have some model whose "back side" could protect the US from North Korea.(Asses Against Mass Destruction....for $300 chris) And then i thought well maybe he wanted a classier model.." which lead me to "Are really big back-sides seen as un-classy?"
You never really see the girl with the big butt in Vogue and because they could actually sell their look just as much they were given their own magazine; Remember Trina on the cover of King??
Well I know that bigger butts are now paralleling breast implants in the plastic surgery world but more so here in the african american community. I myself look in the mirror everyday to see what my ass decides it wants to look like today. I am not saying that i would like to get an ass job *cough* but i do feel there is alot of pressure placed on women to have bigger ASSets.
Does anyone recall that time when girls were dropping like flies going into makeshift doctor offices trying their hardest to fulfill these social insecurities? Many women have undergone treatment of injections not done by a licensed doctor and as a result have suffered grave consequences from deformity to death.
I pride myself on being very happy with my body and comfortable in my own skin *social lie*and i believe every girl should. However, i am aware that not everyone can attain this level of personal security.
My Point:
The point here is that in the black community women are getting these butt jobs left and right. There is even an outbreak in the little white girl community too(anybody seen CoCo)!!And most of them do this in order to maintain or obtain a man or some kind of compensation. However, whenever these videos call for a businesswoman or "independent female representative" it seems they are always smaller framed and extra pretty; no side of big ass please!! Trey Songs, through his video, has raise a very good point; is the big butt classy? How does it look in a gown? Will you ever be taken serious with a huge rump running behind you all day? and Is this a direct correlation of our place in this mans world? Are we only supposed to be the subject of desires for men and never to have our own purpose? never to create a destiny that is child and sex ridden?
Although Trey may have though he was just making another sex video but the video definitely scratches the surface of an issue we must address in the world. These video encourage and foster an insecurity that is hard to get rid of amongst the feline population.

The Feminine Mystique
So there's this lady named.....uhhhh.....oh yea! Betty Freidman and she essentially rocks! Well, only if your a supporter of feminism and dont mind all men looking at you as if your a lesbian or gay.
I have attached a link to the second chapter of her most famous book entitle the Feminine Mystique. This book was very influential during its time. This book unified the hardships and restraints placed on women throughout the history of America but focuses on the affects of the disenfranchisement of females during the 50' and how many of them wanted more and would do what they could to gain the rights they feel they deserved. In this chapter Betty focuses on the housewife and her limited view or understanding of what life is to women during that time and their inner most desires.
